I sure saw a lot of Sasser names listed that are also names I know of in my family. I only know of Sassers that are from Lauderdale County in Tennessee. My fathers name is Steve Sasser born in Lauderdale County and mothers name is Jennie Sue Cox Sasser born in Lauderdale County. They were married June 21,1931 in Lauderdale County Tennessee. I never new my grand parents, they died before I was born. I think grandpa W. H. Sasser died in 1941. I was born April 7 1943 in Memphis, Tn. My parents had 4 children Gertrude Laura, Anthony Leon, Linda Juanita, and Gloria Arlene. We are all married now and have children and grand children of our own. If you know or any links let me know. MY phone is 662-363-1988 nights or weekends. Address Anthony Sasser 1214 W. E. Ros Parkway W. Southaven, Ms. 38671.

Very interesting. The names Cobb, Tuttle and of course sasser are all names I have heard during my life. I have never checked my lineage but my Grandmother (Lucy) and G.father (John Balton) were both Sassers origin from Gibbs, Kentucky then to Oklahoma had 7 sons and 9 daughters of which I am a son of one of the sons (Clearance Dacre Sasser 1910-1986). I had one brother (1937-1996) Sherman Samual Lee Sasser. Please contact me if you think I am part of the kin. Regards, JS

I love your websight! I descend through Adin and Nancy Sasser through their daughter Mahala who married James Thomas Hale. I also descend through Patience, Adin's sister who married Joseph Tuttle. I found the information on Adin extremely fascinating! Thanks to all who shared. Has anyone ever found a photo of Adin or his daughter Mahala? If anyone has it, I would love to have a copy! Thanks!

I'm the New York branch of the Georgia Attaways. It seems a lot of our cousins made it to Texas. You have a wonderful site; the pictures are great. I'd be most interested to know if you have any luck tracing your Carolina Attaway ancestors. Andrew Attaway

Thanks to all my cyber cousins the COBB/SASSER page, I believe, will expand my quest of learning/sharing of our ancestors. The more we share the more we learn of where, when and how they met, married and moved across the US.
