Great website cousins! I was searching for my THOMAS-SASSER relatives and found your site. I am looking for my great great grandparents Rowland THOMAS born about 1808 in GA and Elizabeth SASSER born about 1810-1820 in Georgia. They are my brickwalls. I dont know where in GA Elizabeth was born and havent even found her parents or where they are buried. They were living in Camden County, GA moved to Alachua County, Fla in 1840's then they just disappear. If anything rings a bell please contact me. GREAT SITE ! Dianna

Enjoyed looking through your book. My great great grandparents were Reese and Susan (Bushnell) Taylor. Ever heard of that Taylor line? Haven't had much luck tracing it. Any help on this Taylor line would be really appreciated. Thank you. Have a blessed new year 2004. Pauline

Thought that I could find some info, but don't think you are any cousins. My line come from the Joseph Cobb that came to Isle of Wight,Va in 1613 on the ship the Treasurer. I can't prove from which son the line comes through. The Cobb I can prove to is Joseph K Cobb b.1799 in "Jacking" (Jackson co) Tennessee. Does anyone have a clue on his parents? He married a Kitty (Catherine) Harris dau of Mastin Harris & Patsy Reamy in 1825. 1st child Mastin Harris Cobb b.1826. His son, Joseph Richard Cobb was my maternal Gr-grandfather. Thanks for the opportunity to ask questions.

Hi Bobby Sue, I was looking at the McHargue sie and the information you put in for me is great except you left out Minnie C McHargue under Ephraim Leander's children. She was born in 1887 in Arkansas. She was the baby of the family. I will send you her spouse and Fanny's spouse's names so you can add them. Abbey died but I haven't found anything on her yet. Thanks, Linda

Nice site. I'm Grant U. Taylor's grandson. A couple of observations:
Several family members researching Cornelius' roots have real doubts that he is the child of David Taylor, although this has been repeated in many places including Kentucky kinfolk newsletters and at least one book that tries to link our family to that of Zachary Taylor. Also, it's worth nothing that Joshua Taylor's wife Mary Smith was his 3rd cousin, since their maternal grandmothers were Woolum sisters. As you've already indicated, the Woolums and Taylors are interconnected.

Just sticking my head in to say, "Hi!" to any and all Taylor family members.
I'm sitting against my brick wall on the Taylor family line of Warren County, GA. I've followed it back to Warren Taylor, born Warren County, GA circa 1800-05 (depending on which census is accurate.) His father, name unknown, was born in Virginia and his mother, also name unknown, was born in Georgia. I know all the Taylors from Warren's time down to me. (Some of the Taylors still live in Warren County.) Warren's first wife was Lydia Jackson, dau. of Aaron Jackson. I have a complete list of his children from two marriages, but nothing on his brothers and/or sisters and nothing on his parents. I doubt if anyone here knows anything about my Taylor family, but just in case... (Also interested in MacDonald, Jackson, Brantley, Wynne, Harbuck, Jones, Walker, Warren, Ansley surnames of Warren County, Georgia.) Thanks. F. B. Taylor Atlanta, GA
