I have recently been trying to trace my "roots". I know that my line of the Cobb family lived in Georgia, and migrated to Alabama. My father was Linward G. Cobb. His father was Aaron Edward Cobb. His father was John Emmit Cobb. We believe his father was John Thomas Cobb. I have hit a dead end at this point. If anyone has any information about this line of the Cobb family I would appreciate your input. Feel free to e-mail me with the information.

I am the great granddaughter of Israel Patterson Hayre and Louisa Jane Jarvis Hayre. I would like information of any of their children especially William Nathan and his children.
We claim Obediah Hammons also (everyone wants a revolutionary war soldier in their ancestry. Anyway it goes like this for us:
Obediah and Elizabeth
Lucretia Hammons m. Joseph Payne (after Mills)
Lucy Payne m. Robert Patterson
Josiah Patterson m. Marie Frances "Fannie" Ridnour
Rosa Patterson m. Chester David Martin
Ralph Dennis Martin m. Vernetta Voile McDonald (yes, one of the twin daughters of Susan Vernetta Jones)
Anyway, would you know for sure if Lucy Payne is the daughter of Lucretia Hammons or Joseph Payne's other wife?
I am currently enjoying your website. Sarah Cleo Jackson > Vernetta McDonald > Dennis O Martin > John Martin. I hope you all are well. If there are any questions on this branch I might can help. Vernetta passed a couple years ago. My dad is well and plays golf 3 to 4 times a week.

I am interested in the photo on your website of the Shadrach Helton Family. It does not come up very clear. I specifically interested in the young woman that is holding the baby. I am researching my great grandmother who was Sarah Simpson born approximately 1869. I am trying to determine if the Helton's are my relatives. The young woman holds a resemblance to my great grandmother. I tried to find your e-mail address. I could send you e mail a copy of a photo of my ggrandmother. Also maybe you could e-mail me a copy of the one on the web site. Thanks Brenda
