of pneumonia before she was born. Mary's mother,
Lucy (Smith) Cobb, gave Mary to her (Lucy's) parents,
Bardy and Becky (Hale) Smith.
Jim &Mary Jane(Cobb) Tedders were our nearly-next-door
neighbors in Tedders, KY. I remember seeing people going
up the road to their house to have Mary blow into their
childrens' mouths to cure the thrash. Some people believe
that a person who has never seen their father, has this power.

April 26, 1934
Mrs. Henry Cobb,
35, died at 5:00 o'clock last Thursday
afternoon at her home on Horse Creek in
Clay County, near the Laurel county line,
following the birth of a child. Mrs. Cobb
was a daughter of Mr. Wm. Taylor of Sasser.
Burial was on Blackwater.
Her husband and six children survive.
