• (14) Barbara Sasser
  b: 1837
  d: 1837 Stillborn while Mother was visiting family in NC
  
  
  Barbara and her mother, Nancy, are said to have died while on a
  "visit with her relatives." It is said that Nancy received news that
  her brother, Jesse Kirby, was dying. Nancy insisted on going
  "back home," even though she was far advanced in her pregnancy.
  Her husband, Henry, accompanied her, taking along their youngest
  child, 3-year-old Patience. They traveled on horseback. The trip was
  reportedly "too much" for Nancy, who died following delivery of a
  daughter, Barbara. Nancy (Kirby) Sasser was probably buried in
  her hometown, of Smithfield, Johnston Co, NC.
  
  Nancy's brother, Jesse, survived her by some 13 years.
  He left a will, dated December, 1849 and probated 1850.
