The will of Ambrose Cobb's grandfather, also named Ambrose Cobb, was not to be settled
until after the death of his wife, which appears to be around 1815, and after which,
young Ambrose filed two documents for the lawful heirs of Ventner Cobb's share,
one in 1818 Clay Co, KY, and one in 1815 Knox Co, KY
The following is from one filed in Knox County, KY:

of the County of Knox, State of Kentucky,
Administrator of the last will and testament of Vintner Cobb
deceased, have this day ordained, constituted and appointed
William Miller of the County of Knox, State of Kentucky,
aforesaid to be my true and lawful attorney, to act for me and in
my name, and stand in all respects whatsoever concerning the money,
goods, chattles and whatever else may be coming to me,
a lawful heir of Vintner Cobb
deceased, and in the hands of
of Lincoln County, State of North Carolina.
And also all and whatever species of goods, chattles or money in the hands
of any other persons, all of which acts and deeds of my said attorney,
I will ratify and forever confirm.
In testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this
8th day of April 1815.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing
Power of Attorney form
presented to me in my office and acknowledged
by said Cobb to be his act and deed.
In Testimony whereof and that the same is truly recorded
